Budapest continues to lead in the number of crimes but the most robberies and thefts are committed in the north-eastern region.

Among counties, most crimes were reported in Borsod county, with 4,503, up from 2,368 a year ago,

In second is Bács county with 2,038 crimes, Győr county with 1,997, Szabolcs county with 1,834 and Hajdú county with 1,699 reported crimes last year.
