Zeus Salas: The Whisper Of The Brush / Silence Series Exhibition, Hadik Kávéház Budapest
It was on display until 30 September. Venezuelan painter Zeus Salas isolated himself from the world for 30 days in November 2022.

Although the meditation techniques of Buddhist teachings are an integral part of his creative practice, this month of fasting and silence also involved a complete exclusion from the outside world and from painting.

The exhibition The Whisper of the Brush presents the works of the Silence series, born out of the return from the ritual of retreat. Building from focused attention, from the naivety and simplicity of the mind to complexity, the paintings are psychological images: they evoke the rational, logical and spiritual perception of the viewer at the same time. Just like the way the works were born: with the whisper of a brush.

One breath, one gesture – expressionist workshop with Zeus Salas Sunday, September 24, 2023, 3pm

As a joint event to his exhibition The Whisper of the Brush, Venezuelan painter Zeus Salas offers a workshop entitled ONE BREATH, ONE BREATH, where participants can create their own works based on breathing techniques, philosophical and spiritual knowledge, as practiced by the painter himself. The aim of the workshop is to release the creative energies of the individual, to make the participant more conscious and determined during the creative process and beyond.

Thursday, September 28, 2023, 6pm to 10pm

As part of his exhibition The Whisper of the Brush, Venezuelan painter Zeus Salas invites the audience to a musical voyage in the exhibition space of the Hadik Café.

A selection of live music curated by the painter plays as background music to the paintings he created during the retreat, with the tunes allowing the audience to experience the paintings at an even deeper level, with more senses.

The tracks take the viewer-listener on a journey of reception from classical music to Latin American tunes drawn from the painter's cultural roots. About the artist Zeus Milenko Steven Salas was born in Venezuela.

His works are personally inspired, emotionally rich, while his visual world is populated with strong symbols and mythical characters.
