Updated: 'WebWineWriting' Contest in Hungary - Winners Announced

The award ceremony takes place on 17 August at Hungarian Gettogether event at Kristinus Wine Estate – a biodynamic winery on South Balaton, Hungary.
This year 56 entries have arrived in the 3 English language and 3 Hungarian language categories. It is a bit less than last year, but more nations participated than ever: articles came from the USA, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Greece, Spain, Chile, Italy, United Kingdom, Romania, Turkey, Poland, Portugal, France, Ukraine and certainly from Hungary.
The juries have evaluated the articles in each category, once again we would like to thank them for their work. Our jury members were this year in the English language categories:
– Tamlyn Currin, Elizabeth Smith, Florian Zaruba (Biodynamic stories)
– John Szabo MS, Prof. Guido Invernizzi, Tamás Dúzsi, Ágnes Németh (Old vines)
– Jonas Röjderman MW, Ritu & Rajiv Singhal, Bernadett Poós (My Hungarian wine experience)
The winners of the three categories are the following writers.
1. Before and after – fairy tales of biodynamic conversions

WebWineWriting contest is an online contest for wine writers and its aim is to raise the prestige of the profession.
Everyone can write, but to entertain and give accurate information at the same time requires skill and work.
The deadline is 10 July 2023.
Jury members include Tamlyn Currin (UK, JancisRobinson.com), Jonas Röjerman MW (Sweden) and John Szabo (Canada).
Winners of each category can participate in a Hungarian wine tour, will get a virtual badge for their blog or website – and some real wines.
The three categories are:
– Biodynamic stories
– Old vines
– "My Hungarian wine experience" – this category is dedicated to Northern European wine writers.
