Free Family Day: End Of Summer Shows at Castle Garden Bazaar in Budapest, 8 September
The Buda Castle Garden Bazaar is hosting a free all-day autumn event for families on September 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event will offer visitors a range of fun and interactive activities to mark the end of summer, reports Turizmus.com.

The day will open with a special puppet show, featuring the Puppet Theater of Marcsi Fabók, who will take the audience on a journey through Hungarian folk tales and ballads. The performance, based on the story of  The Contrary Wife and the Devil, will revive the traditions of old storytellers and fairground puppeteers.

This will be followed by a musical and poetic performance based on children’s poems by Krisztián Grecsó.

The performance, featuring the artists of the Csík Orchestra, moves on the border between the worlds of theater and concert, playfully combining the two genres.

In the afternoon, Vilmos Gryllus will take to the stage with a family concert that will transport the audience into the world of nature.

Registration is required but the event is free for everyone.

The Castle Garden Bazaar is Budapest’s unique jewelry box where art and nature complement each other. It is a distinctive work of architecture capable of offering an experience of history, culture and nature all at the same time, making it the perfect venue for entertainment, leisure and cultural events.

Online since 2014, this source states its aim as "to provide a complete, unbiased picture of Hungary”. It continues by acknowledging this “does not necessarily mean that our writers do not have their own opinions, sometimes reflected to a degree in the articles they publish”, and it's really worth readers keeping that in mind. Another stated aim is to become ‘the leading English-language news portal of Hungary’, a position held for 20 years by good old independent XpatLoop!
