Guest Numbers Climb by Nearly a Third Over Easter Holiday Weekend in Hungary

The number of guests who stayed at tourism accommodations in Hungary over the Easter holiday reached 300,000, climbing 29pc from a year earlier, the National Economy Ministry said on Wednesday, citing figures from the National Tourism Data Service Centre (NTAK).
The number of foreign visitors increased 38pc and the number of domestic travellers rose 20pc during the period between Maundy Thursday and Easter Monday.
Visitors spent over 700,000 guest nights at tourism accommodations.
Revenue of tourism accommodations climbed 28pc close to HUF 19bn.
