Average Premium for Travel Insurance in Hungary Goes Up - Price Disclosed

Average Premium for Travel Insurance in Hungary Goes Up - Price Disclosed
Hungarians travelling abroad bought nearly 139,000 travel insurance policies during the summer, up 14pc from the same period a year earlier, data compiled by insurance broker Netrisk show.

The average premium for travel policies rose 4.5pc close to HUF 13,000.

Around 30pc of policy holders travelled to Croatia, 21pc to Italy and 9pc to Greece. About 55pc drove abroad and 34pc took a flight.

    Following more than a year of preparatory work, American Airlines has announced that it will resume its non-stop flight between Budapest and Philadelphia from May 2026. The flight, suspended during the pandemic, was very popular with both American and Hungarian passengers.
