No Cutbacks of Commuter Trains in Hungary Promises MÁV Boss
The shuttle trains will run according to the same timetable in 2025, just as often and with the same capacity as in 2024, MÁV group CEO Zsolt Hegyi announced in a video posted on his Facebook page at 1.08 p.m. Monday afternoon.

In the roughly one-minute statement, he said this is the official position adopted by the MÁV group which he repeated at the end of the video: no timetable change will happen in 2025.

The situation appeared to be different five and half hours earlier, 444 writes, as Hegyi told Index in an interview posted at 7.33 a.m. that the HÉV fleet has aged but the company was seeking a solution to handle the situation that would not affect the busiest periods and lines.

He also said that, regardless of all leaked information, no decision had been made about the HÉV timetable.
