Xpat Info: Which Shops Will Be Open on Christmas Eve in Hungary This Year?

Aldi will keep its shops open on December 24, but only until noon, the subsidiary of the German discount retail chain announced.
Only 30% of the employees will work in the retailer’s 182 stores on that day.
Auchan, Tesco and Spar will also be open on December 24.
The law stipulates that all shops must close no later than 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
Lidl, Rossmann, Media Markt, Praktiker and Jysk shops will be closed on December 24.
In addition, all shops, shopping malls and major department store chains must be closed on public holidays. This means that they are not allowed to open on December 25 and 26.
