Lybian-Norwegian Man Sentenced Over Bomb Threat in Hungary
- 20 Feb 2025 5:22 AM

Andrea Bartha said the man used to live in Budapest as a homeless person and during a police check in April 2024 he was unable to prove that he was legally staying in the country, so he was told to leave within three months.
The man however was still staying in Hungary despite several warnings in November 2024 when he was apprehended by immigration authorities and his expulsion to Norway was ordered.
An immigration officer told him on 7 February 2025 that he would be transported to Norway by flight within a few days. In response he said he did not want to go to Norway and he would "place a bomb on the aircraft" unless they change the destination.
He has accepted the charges by the Nyiregyhaza court and the ruling has become final.
