Mercedes Factory in Hungary - Now Its Second Largest in Europe - All Set to Grow Bigger
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán hosted Ola Kallenius, chairman-CEO of the Mercedes-Benz Group, for a working dinner in his office in Budapest on Monday, the Prime Minister's Communications Department said.

Orban and Kallenius discussed the progress of Mercedes' ongoing investments.

Mercedes’ plant in Kecskemet, in central Hungary, is its second largest in Europe, employing close to 5,000 people. Its ongoing expansion will create 3,000 new jobs by 2026 and double the plant’s production capacity to 400,000 cars a year.

They also discussed the global trade situation and strengthening the European Union’s competitiveness.
