Online Sales in Hungary Up Over HUF 1,900 Billion - Top Shopping App Revealed
Online sales in Hungary climbed over HUF 1,900bn in 2024, a report by consultancy PwC shows.

E-commerce grew by close to 15pc during the year. Imports accounted for HUF 330bn of the total, up 17pc, while sales of domestic webshops rose 10pc.

China's Temu had over 9 million local orders with a value of around HUF 110bn. The site's active user base reached 1.8 million and one-third of Hungarians who make purchases online had the Temu application on their phones.

The report shows that 31pc of the 4.2 million Hungarians who make purchases online do so regularly.

Around 31pc rarely make purchases and 38pc make occasional purchases.
