Over 21,000 Households in Hungary Paid Solar Panel Subsidies
Over 21,000 homeowners have been paid an average of HUF 4.1m in subsidies supporting solar panel and battery storage investments, the Energy Ministry said in a post on social media.

Evaluation of the applications in the scheme is approaching completion.

More than 600 contractor companies have been involved in the developments across the country, the ministry said.

As a result of the scheme, the number of residential solar panels will exceed 300,000 in Hungary in a few months. These have installed capacity of close to 2,700 MW, already accounting for more than a third of the country's total photovoltaic capacity, it added.

Under the year-long scheme, households could apply for up to HUF 5m in support, covering two-thirds of investment cost.
