'National Champions' Credit Scheme for SME's in Hungary Launched with HUF 156 Billion Budget
The government on Tuesday announced the launch of a HUF 156bn credit programme to support SMEs' productivity and export capacity, while advancing the green and digital transitions.

Richard Szabados, the state secretary for SMEs, said businesses could apply for zero-interest investment financing between HUF 150m and HUF 600m. He added that up to HUF 180m of the financing in the European Union-funded scheme could be converted into non-refundable support upon fulfillment of certain conditions.

The credit programme, dubbed National Champions, is an element of the Demjan Sandor scheme for scaling up local SMEs.

Applications for the National Champions scheme will be accepted from June 23.
