Auchan Launches Local Suppliers Programme in Hungary
- 27 Jun 2025 7:26 AM
Auchan Magyarorszag sales director Attila Nagy said the programme, which enjoys the backing of the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK), aimed to put more products from small- and medium-sized suppliers on the retailer's shelves.
The goal is to boost orders from local suppliers by a factor of 6-8 from around HUF 300m per store at present, he added.
Around half of the products stocked at Auchan stores in Hungary are food, and 86pc of those are produced in Hungary, he said.
Auchan had net sales revenue of HUF 366.3bn in 2024.
