The investment will create 250 jobs for highly skilled professionals who will research the role of artificial intelligence in cloud-based IT services, Szijjarto said.

US companies form the third-largest group of foreign investors in Hungary, he added.

Péter Szijjártó explained that when he is in the United States, he takes every opportunity to further encourage American investments.

He emphasized that American companies currently constitute the third largest investor community in Hungary, and their investments have contributed greatly to the performance of the domestic economy in recent years.

"And now we especially need American investments, as President Ursula von der Leyen has concluded an agreement that is extremely disadvantageous from a European perspective, as a result of which very heavy tariffs will be imposed on European products destined for the United States, and as a result the European economy is facing serious difficulties, " he reminded.

"With American investments in Hungary, we are reducing the negative effects of the broken tariff agreement. Since President Trump took office, seven American companies have announced investments in Hungary, and today we can announce the eighth such investment, " he concluded.
