IMF Insight: Forecast of Hungary’s Vital Stats
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) projects Hungary's GDP growth will reach 1.7pc in 2026 in its latest World Economic Outlook released on Tuesday.

The IMF sees economic growth picking up to 2.0pc in 2027.

The IMF puts average annual inflation at 3.8pc in 2026 and 3.5pc in 2027.

It projects a current-account deficit equivalent to 0.4pc of GDP in 2026 and a 0.4pc-of-GDP surplus in 2027.

The jobless rate is set to edge down from 4.2pc in 2026 to 4.0pc in 2027.
