Jewish Cultural Festival in Budapest, Now On Until 10 September
Over two weeks, Budapest’s special synagogues and iconic Jewish community venues will open their doors for the 28th Jewish Cultural Festival.

Organized for nearly three decades by the Jewish Community of Budapest, the festival serves as an annual showcase of how deep-rooted heritage connects with contemporary art, bringing people together around music, literature, theater, and film.

This year’s edition brings a rich variety of performances to the stage, featuring a lineup that blends world-renowned artists and prominent local creators with notable international guests and outstanding musicians from Israel.

Beyond return visits from legendary performers, the program highlights several festival premieres and a selection of unique productions crafted exclusively for this occasion.

At its core, the gathering reflects both enduring history and present-day artistic expression. It offers a space where shared stories and melodies bridge generations, demonstrating how cultural traditions remain active, evolving, and deeply relevant to modern life.

Residents and visitors alike are invited to step inside these remarkable architectural spaces to experience a fortnight dedicated to shared community, artistic depth, and living tradition.
