'Fig Festival' Celebrates Autumn Harvest & Special Wines at Balaton Beach
Autumn vibes, select Balaton wines, live music and local gastro specials will combine between 9 - 11 October at Egry József Beach in Badacsony for the third edition of Füge Feszt.

The three-day festival puts figs, Kéknyelű wine and fresh tastes of the autumn harvest at the heart of a programme designed to showcase the Balaton region beyond the summer season.

Restaurants, chefs and wineries from Badacsony, the wider Balaton area and elsewhere in Hungary will serve up a range of dishes, with every participating food vendor required to feature at least one fig-based creation.

One of the wine highlights will be the premiere of Laposa’s Kéknyelű sparkling wine, alongside a selection of wines from the region.

Live music throughout the weekend will include performances by Pharao Projekt, Zoltán Mujahid and the Group’N’Swing Show, as well as a Wine & Vinyl DJ set and the Babos–Piller Jazz Duo.

The programme also includes live cooking workshops, a Balaton-themed painting workshop and a mini FügePiac craft market, with plenty of opportunities to sample local food and drink.

The festival will also host the awards ceremony for the Balaton Cake competition, where the 2026 winner will be announced.

Füge Feszt organiser Péter Vincze summed up the event aims are to capture autumn on a plate, put Lake Balaton wines in your glass with Badacsony as the backdrop, presenting the region as a destination worth visiting in October as well as during summer.
