1. Where did you grow up?

I grew up in a small village in Borsod county. I spent my gymnasium years in Sárospatak, which is still one of my favourite cities in Hungary.

2. What was the most interesting travel trip you have ever taken?

It’s a hard question as every country has its uniqueness. And as a traveler I always find something interesting everywhere. But if I must name only one trip, it would be Socotra, an island that belongs to Yemen. I fauna is amazing; every third species are endemic. Can you imagine thousand-year-old dragonblood trees and turquoise beaches without any hotel facilities? Socotra is a magnificent and still an untouched place on Earth.

3. What do you miss the most if you are away from Hungary?

My friends and family. And Túró Tudi of course 😊

4. How did you become a travel blogger?

After finishing the university, I started building my career in Marketing & Communication area. I have risen through the ranks and ended up being a PR and marketing manager at big multinational companies. I enjoyed my work a lot, however it was stressful, but from outside it seemed to be a perfect life.

Then I found myself struggling with a serious illness and at the age of 32. I was diagnosed with cancer, which hit me like a lightning strike. Thanks to God, I have been fully recovered but the things I went through have completely changed my life. I realized I want to collect memories instead to material things.

And I also realized whenever I travel, I feel the most I am the most alive. So, I took a deep breath and quit my job after 15 years to start something completely different and new. That is how I become a travel blogger.

5. What is your favourite food?

I can’t live without green pea stew. It’s not a joke, I love it with fried eggs ever since I was a child.

6. What is your favourite sport / form of exercise?

I love swimming, it absolutely clears my mind and calm my thoughts. Although I can’t do scuba diving every day, but being under the water is a never-ending love in my life. This is the only time when space and time disappear, and I feel completely free.

7. What is your favourite place in Hungary?

The Bükk Mountains and especially Bükkszentkereszt are close to my heart, but now I talk home. In the summer heat there is nothing better than cooling down in the mountain areas. While in the winter we always snow here and can play snow angels like a child 😊

8. What kind of behaviour do you most like in others?

Honestly and trustworthiness.

9. What was your favourite band, film, or hobby as a teen?

As many of the teenage girls I was a huge Leonardo DiCaprio fan; my room was full of his posters from Bravo and IM magazines. I remember how excited I was when Titanic was first shown in the cinemas, and how happy I was to watch the film from the first row.

10. Buda or Pest side?

Pest side. But I live close to the Danube River and see Buda as well.

11.  Where did you spend your last vacation?

I rarely go on vacation, in the classic meaning of the word, as I usually spend at least one-third of the year with travelling. But this summer I will go to Bulgaria to the Sunny Beach with my family. I can’t wait to do nothing, just enjoy the sun and sea.

12. What’s a job you would definitely never want?

Highscaler. I have strong fear of heights.

13. Book or movie?

I prefer books, I love imagining and visualising the characters while reading.

14. Red wine or white?

White sparkling wine.

15. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?

I would definitely show them one the thermal spas in Budapest and the view from Buda Castle or from the top of St Stephan’s Basilica. As an interesting part of our history, visiting the Hospital in the Rock could be a good option likewise spending the night on a cruise boat on the Danube.

16. Apart of temptation what can't you resist?

A cheap flight ticket is always sooo tempting 😊

17. Morning person or night person?

When I was younger, I used to be a night person but as time flies, I tend to wake up earlier.

18. Which achievement in your life are you most pleased about?

It’s not an achievement but I’m proud that I had enough courage to take the risk and start something completely unknown and new in my life.

19. Which social issue do you feel most strongly about?

Starvation.

20. What would you say is your personal motto?

Time spent in nature is never a wasted time.
