Gergely Fábián, CEO of Galaxis Budapest
13 years of career at the central bank of Hungary on the field of financial stability from junior analyst to executive director. During this period he was responsible to build up Budapest Institute of Banking and the Money Museum.

In the past 2 years he was the state secretary for industrial policy and technology.

Now he is the CEO of Galaxis, an international start-up with the mission to help creators, brands, communities thrive utilizing web3 technologies.
 

1. Where did you grow up?

Kaposvár, south western part of Hungary.

2. If you could be an expat anywhere in the world, where would you choose?

San Diego 

3. What would you miss most if you moved away from Hungary?

The Balaton

4. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?

Opera, Normafa, a Spa, or just go down to Balaton for sailing.

Fish soup

Basketball

Balaton

8. What career other than yours would you love to pursue?

Sailor

Poverty (in my office there was a poster about sad kids with the text they do not know what is recession, they feel it)

Building the  money museum in Budapest.
