The Hungarian Interchurch Aid organisation ran the event, with support from local companies, and I went down with a small group from the Embassy to do what we could to contribute.

Police are closing a 14-year-old inquiry into assassination of media baron János Fenyo. Fenyo was assassinated in Budapest on February 11, 1998. The two main suspects were Slovak nationals Jozef Rohac, suspected of killing Fenyo, and Ladislav Trnka, suspected of driving the car with Rohac.
