The refurbishment of five of the twelve studios has been completed at the Old Artists’ Colony in Szentendre, where the office of the Hungarian Public Non-Profit Council of Arts (MANK) has also been moved to.

Sustainable CEU held their annual Earth Day event on Friday afternoon. Represented among others, was the Satyor organic vegetable box scheme, Ecoservice, Messzelato, and Treehugger Dan's with Vedegylet. We served up free Fair Trade organic coffee and tea to the students and teachers, while explaining Fair Trade to anyone that inquired.

"Managers of Budapest homeless shelter, Segítőház, caring for 300 homeless people daily, called mayday more than once recently claiming that the building was on its last legs. Yet, thanks to a recent charity auction, the shelter’s story has taken a good turn and conditions are expected to improve significantly before this year’s winter sets in.
