Parents Spend HUF 5,000-10,000 on Children's Day in Hungary

Parents and grandparents spend HUF 5,000-10,000 on Children's Day, the last Sunday of May, based on the sales data of Regio Játék and the results of a survey of 2,500 people, writes the online business daily Világgazdaság.
According to the study, half of the respondents are looking for games between HUF 5,000 and HUF 10,000; 30% spend less than HUF 5,000, and another 20% spend more than HUF 10,000.
The research also covered what parents and grandparents expect from a game.
Some 90% of respondents are looking for an educational game rather than a fun one.
They consider it more important that the gift be timeless than trendy.
To avoid accumulating gifts, most people plan what toys they will buy during the year.
