Tennessee Williams' most acclaimed work, A Streetcar Named Desire is transformed into a modern dance drama on the stage of the Erkel Theatre. It is also principal ballet master Marianna Venekei’s first full-length choreography.

Israel and Jewish culture will be in focus at this year’s CAFe Budapest Contemporary Arts Festival held between October 6 and 22, the chief organiser said. Programmes featuring Israeli art will include acts by the Israel Ballet, the Avishai Cohen Trio and Avi Avital and Omer Avital, Csaba Káel said.
