Hungarian Parliamentary Speaker László Kövér has expressed condolences over Tuesday’s Normandy church attack in France. The Hungarian parliament extends its sympathies to the believers and family members mourning Father Jacques Hamel, Kövér wrote in a telegram addressed to the heads of the French National Assembly and the Senate.

Hungary’s population decline slowed in January-May to 27% compared with the same period last year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported. The figures show that there were 36,100 births in the first five months of the year. According to leap day-adjusted data, the number of births for the period was down by 2.4% compared with 2015.
