Hungary’s sensational presentation did the job! The FINA (the International Swimming Federation) Bureau, which began meeting in Barcelona on July 19, chose Hungary to host the World Aquatics Championships scheduled for 2021.

The first thing to say about the Hungaroring, is that it can be phenomenally dull; at least it could be up until last year. For most of its 25+ year history on the F1 calendar, the tight and twisting bowl-shaped track on the outskirts of Budapest came with the reputation of regularly hosting complete snoozefests. This year we invite “National Teams”, i.e. teams consisting of two players from the same country. All countries could be represented by more than one “National Team”. So, either persons register as a “National Team” or one person registers on an individual basis allowing us to form new teams. The tournament is open to all amateur golfers. The maximum handicap is 54. Places are limited to 88 ...
