"An international panel of judges selected 200 pictures, the work of 63 photographers from 23 countries, to form the winning set of shots that form the 2010 World Photo Exhibition - on show in Budapest between 30 September and 31 October. Hungarian success was achieved by Joe Petersburger (Szentpéteri József) who won first prize in the nature category.

"This year's co-winner of the biannual Lucien Hervé and Rodolf Hervé prize is Ákos Czigány (sharing it with the French photographer Alexis Cordesse). In 2010, Association Lucien Hervé et Rodolf Hervé annonced the prize on „The Language Of The City”, to which Ákos Czigány Ákos submitted his series titled „Skies - hommage á Hiroshi Sugimoto”.

The name "BuSho" has come from a pun (Budapest Short - budapesti rövid), but it refers to a traditional popular custom of winter-send-of from Southern Hungary called "busójárás".
