The CAFe Budapest Contemporary Arts Festival presents some of the greatest contemporary performers from Hungary and abroad, including Yann Tiersen, Hiromi, Plaid and the Southbank Gamelan Players, Squarepusher’s project band, Shobaleader One, Krzysztof Penderecki, Yellowjackets, the FAMILIE FLÖZ and Krisztián Gergye’s Company.

The JFBP Japanese Film Week returns June 8-13, 2015 with interesting film selection. The JFBP Japanese Film Week showcases recent Japanese films which revolves around the theme of Japanese cuisine. Programming addresses feature films and documentaries. In Japanese, with English subtitles and Hungarian voice-over!

Áron Barka started his career at the Kempinski Hotel in Budapest after leaving school. During the years he spent at this 5 start property he gained great experience in gourmet cooking. In order to develop further, he went to one of the most beautiful parts of Germany, to work at the Four Season Hotel in the Black Forest.

A Japanese film week started on Tuesday in Budapest’s Toldi Cinema, showcasing a wide array of contemporary Japanese films. Between May 13 and 18, the festival offers free screenings of the latest blockbusters, including a Second World War drama, a children’s animation movie and a futuristic thriller.
