Hungary’s government agrees with separating Budapest from Pest County and has ordered the economy minister to work with the head of the Central Statistical Office on submitting a proposal to the European Commission and Eurostat on changing the NUTS classification of the Central Hungary region, a government resolution published in Tuesday’s official gazette Magyar Közlöny shows.

An average Hungarian born last year can expect to live 75.6 years, four years more than those born in 2001 and six years more than those born in 1990.
