Truck Ferry Opens In Esztergom
A Ft 1.1 billion truck ferry project connecting Esztergom with Sturovo in Slovakia has been complete. The bridge which was rebuilt in 2001 is unable to carry heavy trucks. Both governments are working to realise similar projects in the coming years, economic diplomacy state secretary of the Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministry Levente Magyar said at the opening ceremony.

It would be desirable to have a border crossing every 20 kilometres, Slovak Transport Construction and regional Development Minister Árpád Érsek said.

The ferry will be able to transport 150-200 heavy trucks daily, spokesman for the infrastructure developing state company NIF Dániel Loppert added.
