Hourly labour costs are lower in Hungary than in all but four other EU members states, according to calculations by German statistics office Destatis. Hourly labour costs here were €7.8 in 2014, up 3.5% from one year earlier. This is slightly more than the €7 in Latvia, €6.6 in Lithuania, €4.8 in Romania and €3.8 in Bulgaria.
