Cultural Revelation: When & Where New Hungarian National Gallery Expected to Open

Construction of the new National Gallery is scheduled to start in the City Park next year and open its doors to the public by the end of this decade, the company in charge of the project, Varosliget Zrt, said on Thursday.

Miskolc is the fourth largest city in Hungary, it’s also the county capital of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén and the regional centre of Northern Hungary. Surprisingly, given its importance, many expats have yet to visit. If you ever need a special reason why, then the Bartók Plus Opera Festival is a good one!

Seen until 22 September. Very few people in Hungary are familiar with the renowned Mexican photographer Guillermo Kahlo, the father of the world-famous painter Frida Kahlo, who emigrated to Mexico as a merchant, under the name of Wilhelm, from Pforzheim near Karlsruhe in 1890.
