Three Hungarian films and one co-production with Hungarian participation are up for competition at the 70th Cannes film festival which kicks off Wednesday evening. The Hungarian National Film Foundation said Hungary is leading the number of competing films among Central European countries.

Bruno Mars, the four-time Grammy Award-winning American pop star, will perform in Budapest on May 30th, 2017. The concert will take place as part of Mars’ upcoming 24K Magic World Tour, which takes its name from the artist’s recently-released album of the same name.

Hungarian President János Áder has arrived in New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly session and a meeting of the Highlevel Panel on Water. Áder was present at the signing of the Paris climate agreement this spring, and will attend a meeting organised by the UN Secretary General focusing on the climate agreement.
