See What Happened @ Brody Studios Event: 'Cigars & Good Spirits'
By Russell Skidmore. Many, many moons ago, I had the privilege of visiting Cuba, and smoking cigars and drinking rum in little dishevelled huts. Fast forward a few years and I found myself doing the same again, but not in a hut and not quite so dishevelled.

Brody Studios held another of its infamous booze fueled fun nights recently, this time with the number one cigar store in Budapest.

An entertaining cultural blitz ensued, with wit; charm; and some factual stuff from Dez O’Connell (Beverage Overlord of the Brody House Group, pictured above on left) and the finer points on cigar smoking from Csaba Csetényi (Cigar Tower, pictured above on right).

This was an engaging combination for the purist and amateur alike, all about which spirits complement which cigars. As the evening moved on, certain myths were also dispelled…

So it’s not quite true that cigars are rolled on the thighs of Cuban girls and tequila is not made from cacti…Boo! Hiss!

Mind you, this didn't take the edge off a fab night of fine smokes ‘n’ great spirits.
