The 2013 Budapest Spring Festival may well be offering on its second weekend what can be considered a festival within the festival: the Budapest Festival Centre has organized a programme that is in harmony with the spirit of the Easter celebrations. When you get an invitation to the Italian Institute of Culture, you know you are in for a treat. The annual ‘All Nations Lions Club’ event did not disappoint. The blind pianist Tamás Érdi had played a selection of classics from Brahms, Bartok, Debussy, to Liszt. This was not just a fabulous evening in a fabulous building, but it had a purpose.
