PayPal is extending its Seller Protection program in Hungary, covering sellers with the full amount of their payment on eligible sales in cases of unauthorized payment, such as a hacked account or a buyer claiming not to have received an item ordered, according to a press statement sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

Almost 72% of Hungarians buy Christmas presents on the internet and close to 43% use mobile devices to buy gifts, according to an international survey ordered by online payments system operator PayPal. The survey, conducted by market researcher GfK, covered more than 5,000 internet users over the age of 18 in five countries. Those buying presents online use several payment methods.

Fifteen percent of Hungarians find the internet vital for planning their summer holidays, and 8% say they cannot do without internet access during that time, business daily Világgazdaság said, citing a recent survey by PayPal and GfK.
