New Tender Worth HUF 75 Billion Called to Support SME Innovation in Hungary
The government will call a new Ft 75 billion tender with co-financing by the EU to support innovation capabilities of micro firms and SMEs, state secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation Balázs Hankó said on Thursday after the launch of social consultation of the EU-funded Ginop scheme began.

More than half of the funding, or around Ft 40 billion will be made available this year, at between Ft 20 million and Ft 50 million per project.

One-third of SMEs in Hungary engage in innovative activities, which should be raised to over 50%, Hankó said. This requires an increase in the number of people working in R&D, and an increase in patents and trademarks.
