The Hungarian National Gallery presents the first large-scale exhibition on the work of Amadeo Modigliani (1884-1920) - now on until 2 October. The exhibition features more than 80 artworks from museums and private collections all around the world.

Lázár: Sport ‘National Cause’

The achievements of Hungary’s athletes in the 2016 Rio Olympics and in past years will help the country’s bid to host the Olympics, Lázár said. President János Áder and Parliamentary Speaker László Kövér sent condolences over the earthquake that claimed at least 120 lives in central Italy in the early hours on Wednesday. In his telegram to Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Áder expressed sympathy with families of the victims and with those who have lost their homes, the president’s office said.
