The first BIDF will show 32 features and 9 short documentaries between September 25 and 28. The films presented personally by their creators will compete in four special categories. A selection of the best Hungarian documentaries of the past 25 years will also be shown.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has raised its forecast for Hungary’s GDP growth this year to 2.8% from 1.6%, noting the effect on Hungary of the Russian sanctions has been “limited”. It expects output to grow by 2.2% in 2015.
