Construction of the second phase of the Duna Medical Center, the largest private hospital in Hungary, has started in Budapest’s Ninth District, the owner announced. Work on the concrete skeleton that has sat idle on the Danube riverside for eight years will be resumed by construction company Épszerk Pannónia Invest.

Prices for public catering services are expected to drop as a result of the planned nationalisation of such services, daily Magyar Idők reported. Talks have already started about transferring control over all public catering services from local councils to the state. Government office chief János Lázár said prices could drop as a result of the move.
