Experiences in flavours and gastronomy; a bustling fair and superb concerts will entertain visitors at the Onion Festival of Makó on September 7 and 8. You can walk in the “Street of Flavours”, see folk art and talk with the ones who make them. There will be a wide selection of the products of local farmers and manufacturers exhibited. You can taste food made with onion – bread, strudel and scone.

For the first time in the history of WAMP - but apparently with the intention of starting a tradition - the 70+ local 'creators' will offer hot discounts, in parallel with end-of-season sales elsewhere in the city.
Cross-Balaton Swim In Hungary, 20 July

The 2013 Lake Balaton cross swimming competition is planned to take place on Saturday 20 july 2013. By tradition the 5.2-kilometre competition starts at Révfülöp port and finishes at Platan beach in Balatonboglár. Participants are welcome to start swimming anytime between 8 am & 2 pm.
