While Hungary’s big cities have plenty of amenities to offer all year round, it can be harder to find a more rural setting during the off-season where one can leave urban life behind without running the risk of running out of programs to follow or places to visit by the time the night falls. 5 medals have been given to Hungarian wines at the latest edition (Spring Tasting) of Mundus Vini international wine contest. 19 wines received gold medal, 2 of them are dry white – both by Tornai Winery from Somló – 2 sparkling wines, 5 of them are sweet Tokaj wines and 10 of the gold winners are red wines.
