The number of home building permits issued in Hungary in the first quarter rose by an annual 100.1% to 4,765, data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said. The number of home building permits issued in Budapest rose by 78% to 1,280. In county seats and cities with over 50,000 residents, the number climbed 145% to 1,296.

It was not clear who was doing the snooping but the state’s security apparatus (which includes the police, Constitutional Protection Office and even Counter Terrorism Centre TEK) couldn’t be ruled out.
