Foreign minister Péter Szijjártó has met with Croatian Economy Minister Tomislav Panenic on the sidelines of the Dubrovnik Forum to discuss a dispute over the management of Croatian oil and gas company INA, among other issues, the foreign ministry said. Szijjártó confirmed that Hungary is “interested in cooperation rather than an acrimonious dispute” at the meeting, the ministry said.

The achievements of Hungary’s athletes in the 2016 Rio Olympics and in past years will help the country’s bid to host the Olympics, Lázár said. He called Hungary one of the most successful “sporting nations” in the world.
Contract For Metro Bus Replacement Tipped For Late Sept, Early Oct

The municipal council of Budapest is expected to sign a contract in late September or early October on leasing buses for replacement services for metro line 3 while it is being renovated. The related proposal was submitted by two deputy mayors and the Budapest assembly will debate it next Wednesday. The Budapest transport authority (BKK) invited public bids for the project on July 12.

The Hungarian Football Federation (MLSZ) is applying to be the host of the 2019 Under 21 European Championships. UEFA will announce in late September which candidate from a list of Austria, Netherlands, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Scotland, Slovakia and Hungary will be awarded the tournament.
