'Having A Blast With Burns', Budapest 'Big' Burns Event, 24 January

Around 250 guests, a mixture of expats and Hungarians, attended the 12th annual Budapest Burns Supper at the Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal on Saturday evening. The traditional Scottish event marks the birth, life and work of Rabbie (Robert) Burns, who would have been 250 this year, and has become known as the national bard of Scotland.

100s of Xpats joined-in and we all raised HUF 333,000 for the 'Red Nose ClownDoctors'. Here's feedback from people you may know: "Congrats on the success of this charity event. A great group of Xpat Wine Lovers gathered to taste wines from: Légli Géza, Rókusfalbi Pál, Ráspi, Köpcös, Szászi Endre, Bock József, Dobogó Pincészet. Plus a special Zwack Maximilian 'The Spirit of Tokaj' tasting went down well, and guests ended the event feeling merry and in good spirits!
Escape From Budapest To Tel Aviv With Malév - Part 3

Also included in this trip, booked via the helpful staff at the Sheraton Moriah Tel Aviv, was a journey to Bethlehem. The ‘City of Jesus’, proved to be equally amazing as expected. As these days it’s under the control of the Palestinian National Authority we left our Israeli guide behind and met up with a friendly Arab who showed us around this town of just 27,000 inhabitants.
