St. Martin's New Wine Festival, Fair & Family Fun at Skanzen in Szentendre this Weekend
Visitors to the Szentendre Open-Air Ethnographic Museum will be treated to products from artisanal wineries, goose specialties, children's programs, concerts and other stage programs on Saturday and Sunday as part of the St. Martin New Wine Festival and Libator, the institution just informed MTI.

The event, which focuses on St. Martin's Day traditions and new wine tasting, will bring together folk traditions, gastro, cultural and family programs, the press statement highlighted.

Visitors can learn 'interesting facts' about the origins of goose worship and get a glimpse into the atmosphere of traditional peasant social work (e.g. plucking feathers, crushing corn), say the organisers.

In the craft workshops, children can make, among other things, straw geese, bird feeders, autumn earrings, acorn necklaces or cob dolls, but lantern making is also not left out, so that they have something to participate in the St. Martin's Day parade at the end of the day, the organisers say.

On the stage of the Skanzen Vigadó, the audience can hear, among others, traveling musician László Gulyás, storyteller Szende Csernik, as well as the Martones, BashElan, the Magos ensemble and the Erdőfű Orchestra.

The atmosphere of St. Martin's Day festivities will be evoked by the Lajta Folk Dance Ensemble, the program will be enriched by a performance by the Langaléta Garabonciás, a fair of autumn delicacies and handicrafts, and numerous other gastronomic programs, including scone making and thematic wine tastings.

The museum's gates and buildings will be open until 4 p.m., and the Skanzen Vigadó and the craft fair will be open until 6 p.m.

Various goose dishes await visitors at the Skanzen Restaurant.

The program series will conclude with an autumn farewell dance on both days.
