Hungarian hamburger restaurant chain Zing Burger is planning to create a franchise network, according to a press statement sent to the Budapest Business Journal today. Owners We Love Beef Kft. are working on the conditions and hope to open the first franchise restaurant by the end of the year.

China’s BYD on Tuesday opened a 6.2 billion forint (EUR 20m) electric bus plant in Komárom (NW Hungary). The plant will turn out 400 vehicles a year which will be delivered to big cities in Europe. Later, the plant will add trucks and light commercial vehicles to its product palette, said BYD Europe managing director Isbrand Ho.

Romanian and Hungarian police found 19 migrants in a truck at the Csanádpalota motorway border crossing early on Friday, Csongrád county police announced.Police examined a Bulgarian truck entering Hungary at 4 a.m. and found 19 migrants in the cargo area.

Two Turkish males, a Romanian man and a Bulgarian woman died in a pile-up on Hungary’s M43 motorway near Nagylak border station, in the south-east, on Wednesday morning, local police reported. Another 15 people were injured in the crash in which two Romanian trucks, a Romanian bus, two Hungarian and two Bulgarian vans collided.
