"Shattered, abandoned, dead..." is the title of the new permanent exhibition of the Hungarian State Opera opened in the basement of the building. It commemorates 83 artists and employees who were dismissed and deported due to their descent during the Holocaust. The exhibition is open to visitors at 4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday.

I saw a blue violet growing

This year’s Budapest Spring Fair is held in City Hall Park (Városháza Park) and Deák Ferenc Square, decorated with springtime colours, where visitors can browse unique handicraft products and indulge in a selection of food inspired by the upcoming Easter holidays.

Idly looking around online for things of a cultural bent to do in the capital, I landed on the Müpa Budapest website and was struck by how many of the events were sold out, particularly as we’re talking pretty high culture.

Budapest's vibrant art scene is set to welcome a powerful exhibition showcasing the extraordinary artwork of Ukrainian students who have been forced to flee their homes. Titled "Who Am I?" the exhibition will take place at the Golden Duck Gallery in Budapest from 28 February to 3 March 2023, with opening hours from 2 pm to 7 pm.
