Hungarian Economy Ministry Maintains Growth Projection For Years Ahead

The economy ministry said it maintained last year’s projection of 4.1 percent GDP growth in 2017 and a 4.3 percent increase in 2018, in a statement on its macroeconomic and budgetary forecast for 2017-2021. The growth rate is seen slowing to 3.8 percent in 2019 and reaching 3.6 percent in 2021, according to the forecast.

The Democratic Coalition (DK) is turning to the governments of Visegrad Group members Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia, asking them to distance themselves from the “scandalous” conference to be held under the title “The Future of Europe” in Budapest later in January, the deputy leader of the leftist opposition party said.

According to many critics Incendies (Scorched) from Wajdi Mouawad was one of the most important theatre productions of 2017 in Hungary. For this reason, Radnóti Theater will perform this play with English subtitles on the 9th of January 2018 and 8th of February 2018. The subtitles can be followed from the seats of the balcony.
