Demján: Hungarian Hypermarket Needed
- 11 Nov 2010 12:00 AM
It is not hypermarkets one should be afraid of, Demján said, as such entities are a modern form of trade, and a Hungarian-owned hypermarket would generate higher purchasing volume for suppliers.
The example of Coop shows that it pays to co-operate, he added.
The Hungarian-owned franchise chain included 2,887 companies and 30,000 employees under its logo at the end of 2009, and supplied a further 3,000 stores. Consolidated turnover reached Ft 510 billion, or 8% of the market."
